No, they are not on sale. This is about fitting bigger stuff under the hood. So out of curiosity I purchased a couple greddy trust oil filters recently to understand why greddy felt the need to provide their own version. Also what benefit it could offer the casual street user such as myself. After unboxing the diff was visually apparent. The greddy filter was just as tall as the oe but had a reduced circumference by less than half an inch. No real changes in oil pressure due to the slim filter so there you have it. I don't have a relocated filter or clearance issue so I'll return to the oe filter next time. I guess greddy needed this filter for one of their early turbo upgrade kits, maybe not even for the vg. I know oil filter options don't get much traction here since the choice is a no-brainer but this is one option.
